Canon Roadshows
Canon UK is now a sponsor of PAGB and is currently running a small number of road shows that include seminars, demonstrations and tutorials aimed at photographers in the UK. There is one taking place on 11 November at Canon Offices at Reigate, if you are interested contact James Rankin at Canon james.rankin@cuk.canon.co.uk and state you are a member of the PAGB for your free place.
Trophy Recall
Another plea, if your club is holding one of the current SPF trophies then please ensure it is returned at the Club Reps meeting on 11th November as Council wish to check all their current trophies and ensure they are all suitable to accommodate the name change. New Website
Check out the federations new website, it has a completely new look www.southerncountiespf.org.uk if you notice any errors then please let Ken Scott, webmaster know. PAGB News
The PAGB also has a new web address www.thepagb.org.uk
The GB Cup will be an online submission this year and details will be on the website from 1st November so please ensure you check this out.
PAGB Handbooks are now for sale. Eric Bennett will be selling these at the Club Reps meeting on 11h November. Don’t forget this is invaluable to your programme secretary and at just £6 each they are a bargain. Situations Vacant
The Federation will be looking for a new secretary from May 2014 as Sue will be standing down. You will agree Sue has done a very good job for the last few years but now she wants to concentrate totally on her photography. 50th Anniversary Book
Very important is news about our 50th Anniversary Book. Make sure you put Sunday 15th December in your diary; we are having the book launch at Jubilee Hall, New Road, Timsbury, SO51 0NH. It will run from 10.30am – 3.30pm so plenty of time to pop along and buy your book, light buffet and drinks will be available during this time. There is a pre order form on the website and you will save 10% by buying early, just £18 a book up to and including launch day. Not only will you see photos from your own club, possibly one of your own, the book is packed full of photographs from almost all of the clubs within the federation. It is a terrific record of our club photography.
We are also looking for prints spanning our 50 years, or as many years as possible, to display on the day, so if you have a print or two that you think others would find interesting then please either bring along to the Club Reps meeting on the 11th November or [wpml_mailto email=”vice.president@southerncountiespf.org.uk”]by email[/wpml_mailto]or hand to one of the council members prior to the meeting.
