Print/PDI Championships

Important: closing date is 7th March, make sure your club has its entry in on time. This is free to enter so please take part and support the day. It is also free to attend on 23rd March.
The more clubs that take part and more people to attend on the day make it all the more enjoyable. It is a great opportunity to see a whole host of fab images.

FIAP Biennials

The PAGB is entering the 3 FIAP Biennials this year and are looking for work. If you have entered any FIAP exhibitions in the last 5 years, for example, Southampton Exhibition, then your work may qualify. The subjects are;

  • PDI Nature competition – Animal Aggression;
  • Print Nature competition – British Mammals
  • Monochrome Print competition – Children of the World.

PAGB Awards for Photographic Merit Workshop

The federation is looking to run a workshop during October 2014 for those people thinking of submitting an application for a photographic merit at the April 2015 adjudication. Anyone interesting in attending this workshop please email pagb.exec@southerncountiespf.org.uk and book your place.

If anyone has booked host dates and or judges for next year’s league then please email Dave Isaacs with the details.

Judges Update

Attention all judges, the Annual Judges Conference will take place on 8th June at Knowle Village Hall, please put this date in your diary. Further details to follow.
More judges training to take place in the autumn. If anyone would like to attend a taster session if you are unsure if judging is for you, then this is a great opportunity to find out more. Please email Ken Scott and express your interest.

Miscellaneous

  • Print boxes: Closing date for the next order is 25th Print boxes April, the boxes will be ready for collection at Finals Day 11th May – full details.
  • PAGB handbooks still for sale £6 or £7.50 to post, extra copies always handy within the club committee. Email Eric Bennett to get your copy
  • AV Competition: The federation are again hosting an AV competition; this will take place in the Autumn, more details to follow.
  • More help needed on Federation Council; Ken would like someone to assist him with updating website; George and Geoff are doing the exhibition for the very last year, someone needed to shadow them with a view of taking over; a new PAGB Competition secretary is needed.
