Past President Tony Oliver took the opportunity of meeting Stephen Hermida, The President of Gibraltar Photographic Society whilst recently on holiday in the Mediterranean.
Clifford Derricutt APAGB, SCPF Roll of Honour and Club Vice President was a friend to many members of Southern photographic clubs in his role, for over 10 years, as Farnborough Camera Club Secretary.
He provided FCC federation representation and ensured our participation in, as well as attending, all inter-club and federation competitions.
He has been unwell for some time now and died on the 29th August, his funeral will be held at the Aldershot Crematorium on Wednesday 14 September at 2.15.
At the presentation evening at the end of the season Tony Oliver presented Steve Woolcock with a ROH certificate in recognition of Steve’s work for Horndean Camera Club over the last few years. Steve was chairman for five years and has been Training Officer up until the end of this season. He has also filled many roles within the club, and supported and mentored new members.
Steve was also presented with a Life Membership certificate by the club chairman, Geoff Lambert, as a thank you for his work with the club and its members.
It has been announced that Gaston Alziary of Newbury CC has died.
The 2016 Southampton International Exhibition Is Now Open for Your Print & Digital Entries
Southampton International Exhibition wanted to let you know that we are eagerly awaiting your entries for the 2016 competition!
Our 103rd International Exhibition will again be run under the patronage of La Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP), the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).
As a thank you for entering the International Exhibition, you will receive an official 2016 Glossy Exhibition Catalogue.
We will be awarding 25 awards in each of the 6 classes, including a FIAP gold medal, 4 other FIAP, PSA or RPS medals, 6 SCC medals, as well as a number of FIAP or PSA ribbons and SCC Certificates of Merit.
In addition, the entrant with the highest overall acceptance total will win the FIAP Blue Badge for Best Author!

A new exhibition of photographs will open on Saturday 29th of August at the Basingstoke Discovery Centre in Festival Place Basingstoke. The exhibition, entitled “Capturing Beauty in the Mundane and Glorious ” comprises over 40 photographs from near and far, taken by members of Basingstoke Camera Club. Images range from wildlife through to landscapes. The exhibition is open during normal Discovery Centre opening hours. Running till Saturday 5th of September, this free exhibition is a must see for anyone in Basingstoke interested in photography. Please see attached poster.

Open Invitation To All SCPF Club Members to come and view The 102nd Southampton International Exhibition

This year’s Southampton International Exhibition has attracted just under 10,000 entries from all around the world, confirming our position as one of the largest photographic salons in the United Kingdom.
Our exhibition is run under the patronage of La Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP), the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).
As in previous years we have managed to gain a space at Southampton West Quay Shopping Centre which is a fantastic venue to show the International and to showcase photography to the general public.
This year the event is open to the public from Friday 13th March to Sunday 15th March with no entry fee, so why not come along and see some of the 90 award winning prints that will be on show.
